Very nice footpath into the village

It is a pity that the plots are not separated by bushes/trees.
Very clean and friendly, beautifully situated
Access road narrow and a bit adventurous with oncoming traffic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and everything is available (soap, paper etc). A nice walk (it took us 45 minutes) leads from the campsite to Bernard Castle, the City Center and some pubs.

In the middle of wonderful nature
The site is just outside Barnard Castle, which can be reached on foot (forest and river) in just over half an hour. Here you can visit the Bowes Museum, which has an important collection of European painters. The silver, mechanical swan from the 18th century is also very interesting. In May there was a special exhibition of Lego bricks. Works of art were recreated from Lego bricks.
