"Where there is light... - ...there is also plenty of shade. As this campsite is located directly behind a large hill, it really does get shady here quickly. But that's not too bad so far. The traffic noise from the neighboring highway or the train line is also bearable. However, the fact that the site is becoming more and more like a dumping ground/garbage dump quickly makes the stay unpleasant. When we stayed there at the beginning of June 2019, half of the campsite was closed off by flutter tape and completely overgrown. The "old" sanitary building was also "closed" with tape. A washing machine was desolately parked behind it for use. Water was constantly gushing out of the "camper toilet" and the site generally gave the impression of being used as a car and long-term camper graveyard. Nature is overgrowing everything... The "new" sanitary building is flooded in the morning with the garden hose, which leads to certain residues flowing into the drainage grating in front of the toilets. I don't know what that's for. But as a result, odors collect in there that can no longer be removed. You can argue about the cleaning method, but not about the smell, which even extends into the showers. What a pity. The pitch needs a broom and regular cleaning with cleaning agents. A tow truck to tidy up a bit would make a great campsite! On a positive note, there is toilet paper, toilet seats and permanently hot water without coins. This is an absolute rarity in Sicily!

"Quiet CP on the outskirts - A quiet CP at the end of the beach promenade. Although a railroad line and the highway pass above, it is one of the quietest places on the vacation. There is no background music because there is none! The beautiful beaches can be reached on foot within a few minutes. The sanitary facilities are cleaned 3 times a day. They are old but work. A good quiet place with lots of shade.

"directly on the beach - Friendly reception, shady pitches under trees, small pitches with little space for maneuvering, direct access to the beach; old sanitary facilities, a bit run-down and dingy, but still ok; restaurant and small supermarket only open on 1.6. - but other restaurants nearby; the C. is located directly on the Messina - Palermo railroad line: however, there are only a few trains and these run very slowly, so that there is no noticeable noise pollution;

"A little paradise - After we couldn't find a decent campsite between Gefalu and Messina in the pre-season, this campsite turned out to be a little paradise. The site is probably a bit outdated, but always spotlessly clean. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Ideal for scooter tours in the mountains or on the Aeolian Islands, directly from the campsite for € 89.00/two people. We stayed for a week in April and had a wonderful rest.

"Courteous staff, discreet facility - I stayed only one night in a tent. The pitches are large, the facilities are sufficiently clean as are the facilities. There is also a small mini-market within the campground that is sufficiently stocked. The staff is courteous.

Villaggio Marinello campsite is located on the north coast of Sicily, directly on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The campsite and its facilities are a bit outdated, but it is beautifully located on the beach. You camp on a shaded pitch on …demarcated plots between the trees. You can taste Sicilian cuisine in the restaurant, which has a terrace and sea view. The large campsite has space for 250 pitches. These are particularly large, but are in the shade of trees. Some pitches offer a sea view. Wooden posts mark the pitches. The campsite is attractively situated directly on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The beach is right behind the campsite, behind the whitewashed walls. It is easy to find a spot on the sand here, as the beach is not cluttered with sun loungers and parasols. When you are lying on the beach or swimming in the Tyrrhenian Sea, you will always have a view of the rocky mountains. From Marinello, excursions are possible in the area: Tindari, the Aeolian Islands, Taormina, the Alcantara Gorges, Etna, Cefalù, Palermo, Monreale. The campsite is close to the Nebrodi Park, which offers the opportunity to take various trekking routes. Also close to the famous villages of Montalbano and Novara di Sicilia. The bar, with direct access to the beach, offers you the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the magnificent Bay of Marinello and Oliveri. You can enjoy the typical Sicilian granitas and ice creams, prepared as they used to be thanks to Daniele's skill. Not to mention our aperitifs with a sea view. Chilled beers, colourful cocktails and sparkling wines for all tastes. And how about heading to the beach with our delicious rustic and pureed sandwiches? You can also enjoy the authentic flavours of Mediterranean cuisine and fragrant pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven under the stars on our outdoor terrace or in the air-conditioned interior.
