MoMo Camping Orrefors - Super friendly welcome!
We came without booking in advance and were given an incredibly friendly welcome, totally unbureaucratic and simple.
We got a nice, flat and large pitch, at our request close to the sanitary building and not directly on the lake.
The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but always very clean.
In the... high season, however, there are certainly too few, as they are also used by bathers.
During our stay, however, it was too cool and the campsite was only half full.
You can easily cycle to Orrefors for shopping or to the glass-blowing workshop.
There is a mini-golf course on site and a rustic sauna in the evening.
In our opinion, a very good Swedish campsite with friendly staff and an excellent, quiet location in the middle of the countryside on a beautiful lake.

Pure Sweden
Simply marvelous. The disadvantages are so minor that you can look past them. This is what camping in Sweden is like.

We felt very comfortable, sanitary is sufficient Sauna is available we could not use for health reasons, but was used by all almost daily.sitting around the campfire and dreaming nice. We will certainly see you again next year.
The owner's family is magical, I really missed the children, so best regards to everyone.

Great little campsite right on Lake Orranäsasjön
We visited the campsite in June 2025 and are delighted. This much in advance, we will definitely spend 1 week there again. The very nice young Swiss family took over the site in March 2025 and they are constantly expanding and improving it. The site itself has beautiful pitches right on the lake and... also pitches that are a little further back.
But it is not far to the lake from any pitch. You can go fishing or swimming there, and there is a bathing jetty with a ladder. There is also a mini-golf course and a boules area. Boats can also be hired. Special thanks to Marco as he helped us a lot with the repair of our front wheel on the caravan. (It had come loose during the trip, you can imagine what it looked like). So many thanks again. The town of Orrefors is easy to reach on foot or by bike (approx. 2 km.). In Kosta (approx. 24 km) there is a huge outlet and you can eat very well there. There is also a safari park to drive through on the way to Kosta.
So back to the campsite, the sanitary facilities are a little older but in a good and very clean condition. There is a dog area for dog owners, which you don't find everywhere.
It was a great stay for us and we wish the Momo's all the best for the future, you are on the right track.

The welcome from the family was very nice and friendly. An idyllic, well-kept, clean and quiet place. Dogs (Bailey) are very welcome...sometimes they stop by and you have a very relaxed conversation..... Whether the sanitary facilities are old or new, we don't care, everything is kept in great order. Oh yes and the cinnamon snails are delicious!!!!!! Thanks again for the lovely time with you .....

Beautiful small campsite by the lake
We (two adults, one 6-year-old child) enjoyed our time VERY much!
The view of the lake, the opportunity to make a campfire in the evening, the very friendly operators, the great mini golf course, the boat rental, the delicious pastries and the peaceful atmosphere all helped to make the vacation a complete... success.

There is also plenty to experience away from the campsite: Visits to various glassblowing workshops, trips to moose parks, great bike rides through the woods, etc.

The adjacent road is audible, but not particularly disturbing.

The sanitary facilities are clean and functional, even if they are a bit old. Use is free for campers (no additional shower chips or similar required).

If you like, you can order bread rolls for breakfast the day before or buy delicious sweet pastries during the day.

The boat rental offers canoes, rowing boats and SUPs by the hour or day at reasonable prices.

The pitches are spacious, so we had plenty of room to set up a table and chairs outside the awning with our caravan and large awning and enjoy breakfast with a view of the lake.

The location by the lake, friendliness of the operators, cleanliness - a great "base camp" for excursions in Smaland, shopping in Glasriket and sightseeing in the city of Kalmar. Day trips to the island of Öland are also possible.

Great CP in a very nice location on the lake
Discovered as a stopover on a tour to northern Sweden and spontaneously extended, which speaks for the qualities of this very beautifully located CP. The campsite is a manageable size and in some areas is reminiscent of nature campsites in much more northerly parts of the country.
Pleasant atmosphere, you immediately feel at home even as a solo camper. A repeat visit is therefore not out of the question - an absolute recommendation.

Lovingly maintained site by the owners. Sanitary facilities spotless. Cooking facilities, as you often find in Sweden. Strategically located for exploring the various glassworks and the moose park in Nybro by bike or car.

I finally lost my heart to Sweden at this wonderful place.
We were given a very friendly and uncomplicated welcome by the owner couple Romy + Chris.
We really appreciated the direct access to Lake Orranäsasjön for swimming.
There is a lot to discover in the glass kingdom (Glasriket). Let Chris + Romy give you tips accordingly. There is extensive information material in several languages in the entrance area.

The campsite is lovingly run by a German couple. The campsite is located on a large lake and of course has a bathing area with a jetty and a very good mini-golf course on the campsite itself.
In the surrounding area you can go hiking, cycling, fishing or explore the lake by canoe. There is a small store... in the village. The nearest larger town is Nybro, where you can get everything you need.
I also recommend the Belgian waffles on the campsite.
All in all, I can only recommend the campsite.

The location on the lake and the many sunsets are fantastic. As the owners are from Germany, there were no communication problems. Great campfire. Children make friends quickly, the site is easy to navigate. Many small and large excursion destinations in the area, for which we also received tips from Romy.

The showers could be more modern. I didn't mind, but it's a bit difficult with children if the water temperature is difficult to adjust. However, everything was clean.
Summer vacation 2021 for 8 nights
We had chosen this place because of its location and were not disappointed. We felt very relaxed after just 3 days. You can spend most of your vacation on the campsite if you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet and the lake, but there are also lots of excursion options.

Beautiful meadow with trees directly on the lake. Nice for hiking, cycling etc. Dz no cafe open. No stores in the immediate vicinity. There are also rental cottages.

A beautiful site, on a meadow with trees.
We were right by the lake, which is of course the first choice. The pitch was hardly occupied and there was plenty of space. The sanitary facilities were ok and clean.
Then a so-called "cuddle camper" arrived who said we absolutely had to take part in his family... life. At our request, he asked us to stand as it is generally customary, as there was plenty of space, he called the groundsman who was of the opinion that we simply had to accept this.
He didn't know the customs of mutual respect. It was probably about renting out the pitch in any case.
Otherwise it was a nice stay and a nice greeting to the crew of the fire brigade....

In the situation you have described, mutual respect starts with respecting the so-called "camping rules" that are customary in the country. Whether a motorhome is positioned forwards or backwards on its pitch does not matter, at least here in the country (and in many others), as long... as sufficient space is left to the neighbor.
Our pitches at the edge of the lake are a good 8m wide.... they stood with their vehicle backwards on the right-hand boundary of the right-hand pitch... the guest they described as a "cuddly camper" chose the pitch to the left of them and parked his vehicle on his left-hand boundary.... There was about 11-12m of space between the vehicles.
They even rejected his offer to move one space further to the left, even though there would then have been almost 20 meters of free space between their vehicles, on the grounds that they wouldn't let them look at their plates..... The guest should follow an old camper law and park his vehicle backwards.

We regret that we did not meet their requirements for "properly regulated site regulations" and wish them better luck in the future when choosing their vacation destination.

A great CP for several days. We were lucky enough to get a pitch right by the lake with its own fireplace. One evening they even fired up the sauna for us and provided a small wooden hut for 2 rainy days. There is a lot of greenery around the campsite and in the evening you can hardly hear anything from the highway! We would love to come back to experience many beautiful sunsets and can warmly recommend the campsite!

Fantastic location right on the lake, very quiet with a high recreational effect, boat rental incl. life jackets, mini golf, very well-kept facilities, but still close to nature and not so strictly parceled out, beautiful trees that provide pleasant shade, extremely nice hosts; we were here for the first... time and immediately fell in love with this place; tip: enjoy the sunset over the lake and experience the midnight silence with residual light and a starry sky

Quiet, natural site with super-friendly site operators.
We ended up here by chance. We felt very comfortable. You can also spend several days here. There are plenty of activities. Glass blowing, shopping, elk park, hiking, zipline... The site operators are extremely friendly and always approachable. Bread roll service, advice on activities. The sanitary facilities are clean, but too few showers for the size of the site.
