De Balloohoeve is more than just a campsite: it is a versatile farm in the Drenthe countryside. In addition to the small, peaceful campsite with around 25 spacious pitches and a heated modern sanitary building, the site also features a …care farm where visitors can interact with and help care for animals such as horses and ponies. There’s also a farm shop selling local and in-house products, a cozy tea room, and an indoor riding arena for horse riding and lessons. The campsite is right on popular walking and cycling routes including the Pieterpad and provides a great base for nature lovers, peace-seekers, and equestrians — you can even bring your own horse for grazing and stabling.
