At Simbadet, it’s easy to feel at home. The campsite is located between Oppdammen and Stordammen, with jetties stretching out into the water and the diving tower echoing whenever someone dares to take the leap. On the small beach and …grassy areas, families, groups of friends, and those simply wanting to enjoy a quiet moment in the sun gather. Here you stay right in the heart of Österbybruk – an old industrial community with history, a beautiful manor house, cozy cafés, restaurants, and small shops. All around you’ll find hiking trails, forests, marshlands, lakes, and rich wildlife. It’s also close to the Dannemora mine for anyone wanting to see something truly special. The campsite offers space for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. You can also stay in our simple 4-bed cabins or in one of our tipi tents if you want to get even closer to nature. We also offer Brännstålet, a restaurant with full licensing rights, as well as rental of kayaks, SUP boards, city bikes, and a rowing boat. As evening approaches, you can settle down in the sauna or the wood-fired hot tub and simply enjoy the tranquility. Simbadet Camping is quite simply a place where you feel good – and a place you’ll want to return to.
