"Mass tourism³ in the vertical skyscraper.... - Asked for a pitch at the beginning of July, there were only 2 left. When we visited the site, it was like a school playground at break time. The pool was completely overcrowded, tens of mobile homes with max. 3 meters distance and in each 'box' felt like 8 guests, crowds of people everywhere ... There are also only (still) 30 pitches for campers and apparently only where no more mobile homes fit. CONCLUSION: If you like sociable mass tourism, bring lots of children with you who should/must let off steam and like the amok-like hustle and bustle of a funfair, you should go there. We didn't stay, of course. P.S.: The one star rating is of course completely subjective:-)

"Once and never again - First the positive aspects: The pool area has been redesigned and offers slides, pools etc. for young and old. Our children (12, 6 & 3) loved it. The daytime and evening entertainment can also be described as good and appealing. However, the general noise level in the late evening and in particular the condition of all the sanitary facilities completely overshadowed the positive aspects for us. We therefore didn't let our children use them, except for the showers, for the whole vacation because it was really disgusting. We went to reception every day or every two days, but apart from warm words, nothing happened. Completely inadequate for a Yelloh site of this category. Therefore, our stay there will definitely not be repeated.

From Les Sables-d’Olonne, take the D949 towards Talmont-Saint-Hilaire. In town, follow the signs to Le Porteau. The campsite is located on Rue du Porteau, number 3553, on the right-hand side.
